Reon & Hiryu Niwa grew up in Yokohama, Japan. They started training Jiu Jitsu at the age of 8 & 7 at AXIS Jiu Jitsu Academy Yokohama.

They currently are training under Mendes Brothers (mutiple-time Black Belt World Champions) at Art of Jiu JItsu Academy in Costa Mesa, California.

In 2022, they won gold at IBJJF NO-GI World Championship (Brown Belt) and got promoted to Black Belt by Professor Gui Mendes.

They are aiming to become first-ever Japanese to become "Jiu JItsu Black Belt World Champions".
